Any reference in this to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means Discerning Collection Ltd, including our other trading name Bridge Collection.
This privacy notice applies to all holidays and services offered by The Discerning Collection Ltd, including those marketed under the brand name Bridge Collection.

- What personal data we collect
We collect information in several ways – via our website, email, social media, phone, and while you are on holiday with us.
Information you give us:
- Your title, name, postal address, phone number and email address
- Date of birth of all travellers
- Passport number, issue/expiry date, driving licence details (if required)
- Next of kin details
- Dietary or medical requirements (only if relevant to your booking)
- Payment details (processed securely by our payment provider)
- Your marketing preferences
Information we collect automatically:
- IP address and browser type
- Cookie data and site-usage information (see Section 9 below)
- Why we collect your data and our lawful bases

- Who we share your data with
We only share personal data with organisations that help us deliver your holiday or run our business, for example:
- Airlines, hotels, villa owners, ground-handling agents
- Our card-payment processor
- IT and email service providers
- Professional advisers (accountants, auditors)
All partners are required to keep your information secure and use it only for the agreed purpose.
We never sell your data or allow others to use it for their own marketing.
- International data transfers
If you travel outside the UK/EEA (for example, to Turkey), we must share relevant data with overseas suppliers.
We only transfer your data where:
- it is necessary for the performance of your travel contract, or
- appropriate safeguards (such as UK Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect it.
- How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.:
- Booking records: 7 years after your holiday (for legal and accounting reasons)
- Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or after 2 years of inactivity
- Enquiry data: 12 months after your last contact if you do not book
When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
- Children’s data
We collect children’s information (such as name, date of birth, and passport details) only to arrange their travel.
We do not use children’s data for marketing or profiling.
All information is provided by the parent or legal guardian.
- Your rights
You have the following rights under the UK GDPR:
- Access – to request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification – to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure – to ask us to delete your data in certain situations
- Restriction – to limit how we process your data
