Bridge sessions at Labranda in October will be led by David Berwitz, an EBU-qualified club-level director with over 45 years’ playing experience and more than 15 years of directing at three bridge clubs in the Bournemouth area. Founder of the David Berwitz School of Bridge, he has spent the past 14 years teaching large numbers of students across Dorset, supported by an extensive personal library of notes developed over decades at the table. Known for his warm, sociable hosting style and excellent man-management skills, David brings a calm, inclusive approach to play and has long enjoyed leading bridge holidays for a variety of operators. Away from bridge, he loves to travel, eat well and socialise with fellow guests, fully embracing the spirit of a shared holiday. Among his favourite bridge memories are playing online against Bill Gates and once facing Zia Mahmood — memorably watching as Zia read the Business Section of the Sunday Times while sitting dummy.

Guests can also make use of two tennis courts and table tennis throughout their stay. Prime Coastal Location – Perfectly positioned on the edge of Icmeler, it’s easy to explore one of Turkey’s most vibrant coastal destinations and soak up the glorious early-season sunshine, with temperatures typically in the mid-20s in October.
For guests arriving at Dalaman International Airport on our designated changeover days, a group transfer will be provided to take you directly to Labranda Mares. (Transfer time approximately 1 hour 45 minutes).
Upon arrival at the hotel, there will be a singles meeting to pair up players who require a partner, followed by dinner and an optional evening bridge session for those who arrive in time and wish to play on the first night.
A welcome meeting will take place at 10.00 am in the bridge room, where you’ll meet your Bridge Director and friendly bridge hosts. You’ll receive full details of the bridge programme and the week’s schedule, followed by a welcome drink with your fellow guests.
We will also share useful information about Marmaris and the surrounding area, along with details of optional excursions available during your stay.
In the evening, enjoy the hotel’s buffet dinner from 18.30 pm, followed by your first session of evening bridge in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Our Club Classics Bridge Programme is included throughout your stay at Labranda Mares. Each evening, after dinner at 18.30 pm, guests are warmly invited to gather in the bridge room for an enjoyable session from our varied duplicate bridge schedule, continuing into the late evening in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
For those who wish to play during the day, we also offer bridge seminars on selected mornings and additional daytime bridge sessions. These are thoughtfully planned to complement any optional excursions, allowing guests to enjoy both the bridge and the beauty of the surrounding area.
Your Bridge Director will keep an eye on local conditions and may adjust timings to make the most of the sunshine or fit in with the group’s preferences.
A detailed bridge programme will be included with your travel documentation approximately two weeks before departure.
Today we bid farewell to guests and after breakfast and hotel check-out depart on the group transfers to Dalaman International Airport.
