Our Tunisia Bridge Holiday returns to the fabulous 5-star Iberostar Selection Royal El Mansour for our second visit, following the great success of this year’s departure. This superb hotel received outstanding feedback from all our guests and was praised by everyone who joined us.
This time, we’ve chosen to travel a little later in the season, when temperatures are typically a very pleasant 18–20°C – ideal for enjoying both the bridge programme and the hotel’s excellent facilities in comfort.
Nestled on the beachfront and just a short 30-minute coastal walk from the historic old town of Mahdia, this elegant hotel is the ideal base for exploring the region’s rich heritage during your Tunisia Bridge Holiday. As you stroll along the sandy shores, enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and discover the charm of Mahdia’s ancient streets. The town’s intriguing past, including the legendary discovery of a sunken ship filled with priceless art and sculptures, adds a unique allure to your stay.

During your Tunisia Bridge Holiday, we’ve included one exciting excursion each week, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of Tunisia. Discover the vibrant North African atmosphere as you explore the country’s historical sites, charming markets and centuries-old medinas. Experience the ancient grandeur of El Jem, where gladiators once fought beneath the vast arches of its Roman amphitheatre, or explore the historic city of Monastir, admiring the impressive Ribat and visiting the serene Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba.
Our bridge director, Sarah Amos, along with hosts Barry and Maggie Watts, are truly looking forward to welcoming you on this special Tunisia Bridge Holiday.

For guests arriving at Enfidha-Hammamet International airport on our specific change over days, join the group transfer to the Iberostar Selection Royal El Mansour. (Transfer time 1 hour 40 minutes).
There will be a singles meeting where partners will be found for single players, followed by dinner and a short session of evening bridge, for those who arrive on time and wish to play bridge on arrival evening.
Welcome meeting at 10.00 am in the lounge, where you will meet your bridge director and bridge hosts, and be given information on the bridge programme and your holiday, plus enjoy a welcome drink with your newfound bridge friends.
Buffet dinner at 18.30 pm followed by evening bridge.
Our Club Classics bridge programme is included throughout your stay. Each evening, after dinner at 18:30, you are warmly invited to join us in the bridge room for engaging sessions from our diverse duplicate bridge programme, running until late.
For those who wish to participate during the day, we also offer bridge seminars in the mornings and additional daytime bridge sessions. These are carefully scheduled to complement any optional or included excursions, ensuring a balanced holiday experience. Our bridge director will remain attentive to local weather conditions and may adjust timings, if needed, to suit the group's interests.
Your final bridge programme will be sent to you with your travel documentation approximately two weeks before departure.
Follow in the footsteps of the gladiators as we make our way to the awe-inspiring El Jem. Here, you will have ample time to explore the ancient Roman amphitheatre, one of the best-preserved in the world. Once a venue for thrilling gladiator battles, this magnificent structure even hosted scenes from the famous film Gladiator. As you walk through its grand arches, your guide will share captivating stories about its history, including how it could hold up to 35,000 spectators in its prime.
Visiting the El Jem Museum offers a fascinating journey through Tunisia's rich Roman history, with the tour guide providing an insightful talk on the ancient Roman amphitheatre's construction, its cultural significance, and the artifacts discovered at the site that reveal daily life in the region during the empire’s height.
The journey from our hotel is just under one hour, ensuring a leisurely exploration of this iconic landmark, and time to fully appreciate the epic past that once unfolded here.
Today we bid farewell to guests who have joined us for the first week. After breakfast and hotel check-out depart on the group transfers to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport.

Our second half-day excursion takes us to the historic city of Monastir, a charming coastal destination brimming with culture and history. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the city at a relaxed pace, beginning with the Ribat, an ancient fortress that once served as a military outpost and a centre of Islamic learning. Its impressive architecture and panoramic views offer a peaceful and enriching experience. Afterward, we’ll visit the Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, the final resting place of Tunisia's first president, where you can admire the beautiful marble architecture and serene atmosphere. The city also boasts lovely Mediterranean views and a picturesque marina, perfect for a gentle stroll. Throughout the trip, you’ll enjoy the rich history and the tranquil vibe of Monastir, making for a delightful and leisurely excursion.
Today we say farewell. Guests depart on group transfers to Enfidha International Airport after breakfast and hotel check-out.
