Icmeler, near Marmaris is one of Turkey’s best-known coastal resorts, blends Mediterranean charm with a vibrant cafe culture and beautiful marina. Wander along the promenade, browse the local bazaar, or relax in Icmeler, where a golden sandy beach and slower pace of life invite relaxation.
Bridge sessions will be led by Colin Simcox, an EBU Senior Congress Director with over 45 years’ playing experience and four decades of directing. Known for his calm, friendly professionalism, he has represented Somerset in major county competitions, including the Tollemache and Pachabo, and is widely admired for creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere at the table. Away from play, Colin is very much part of the holiday spirit—often joining guests for beach games or evening drinks. Based in Somerset with his wife Marilyn, he’s also a keen traveller and recently volunteered at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. All bridge sessions will be held in the hotel’s Sagalassos Room, a bright, sea-view space ideal for relaxed, sociable play.

Excellent Facilities – Enjoy full access to the hotel’s superb leisure spaces, including a large outdoor swimming pool, a serene spa, and private seaside bathing platforms reserved exclusively for hotel guests – complete with daybeds set right by the water’s edge. Guests can also make use of two tennis courts and table tennis throughout their stay. You’ll also receive exclusive discounts at the hotel’s hair salon and spa, adding an extra touch of indulgence to your time away.
Prime Coastal Location – Perfectly positioned on the edge of Icmeler, it’s easy to explore one of Turkey’s most vibrant coastal destinations and soak up the glorious early-season sunshine, with temperatures typically in the mid-20s in May.
For guests arriving at Dalaman International Airport on our designated changeover days, a group transfer will be provided to take you directly to Labranda Mares. (Transfer time approximately 1 hour 45 minutes).
Upon arrival at the hotel, there will be a singles meeting to pair up players who require a partner, followed by dinner and an optional evening bridge session for those who arrive in time and wish to play on the first night.
A welcome meeting will take place at 10.00 am in the bridge room, where you’ll meet your Bridge Director and friendly bridge hosts. You’ll receive full details of the bridge programme and the week’s schedule, followed by a welcome drink with your fellow guests.
We will also share useful information about Marmaris and the surrounding area, along with details of optional excursions available during your stay.
In the evening, enjoy the hotel’s buffet dinner from 18.30 pm, followed by your first session of evening bridge in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Our Club Classics Bridge Programme is included throughout your stay at Labranda Mares. Each evening, after dinner at 18.30 pm, guests are warmly invited to gather in the bridge room for an enjoyable session from our varied duplicate bridge schedule, continuing into the late evening in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
For those who wish to play during the day, we also offer bridge seminars on selected mornings and additional daytime bridge sessions. These are thoughtfully planned to complement any optional excursions, allowing guests to enjoy both the bridge and the beauty of the surrounding area.
Your Bridge Director will keep an eye on local conditions and may adjust timings to make the most of the sunshine or fit in with the group’s preferences.
A detailed bridge programme will be included with your travel documentation approximately two weeks before departure.
Today we bid farewell to guests and after breakfast and hotel check-out depart on the group transfers to Dalaman International Airport.
