Our Club Classics bridge programme is included throughout your stay. Each evening, after dinner at 18:30, you are warmly invited to join us in the bridge room for engaging sessions from our varied duplicate bridge programme, running until late.
For those who wish to participate, during the daytime, we may offer bridge seminars or bridge sessions. These are carefully scheduled to complement any optional or included excursions, ensuring a balanced holiday experience. Our bridge director will remain attentive to local weather conditions and may adjust timings, if needed, to suit the group's interests.
Your final bridge programme will be sent to you with your travel documentation approximately two weeks before departure.

During your stay enjoy two excursions

Excursion to Valletta - Saturday 15 November

We board our coach for a 50-minute drive to Valletta, where our guide will unfold the history of this magnificent city which was built by the Knights of St. John during the 16th and 17th centuries. Our walking tour starts at the Upper Barraka Gardens which offers stunning views of the Grand Harbour and magnificent fortifications. We admire numerous historical buildings as we walk down main streets, including the Auberges, Palazzos, and the Grand Master’s Palace, before arriving at St. Johns Co Cathedral, the Church of the Order. We include an internal tour of the Cathedral, which is home to Caravaggio’s masterpiece “Beheading of St. John,” amongst other treasures. Our final visit to the Malta Experience gives us a superb 45-minute show illustrating the history of the Maltese Islands – from Neolithic to modern times.

Entrance fee of 15 euros for the Cathedral is not included. Free time to explore this incredible city, shop and stop at your own leisure to enjoy lunch or try local cuisine in one of the many delightful eateries in the city.

Excursion to Mdina & Mosta - Tuesday 18 November

We drive to the town of Mosta, dominated by its Rotunda church which has the fourth largest unsupported dome in Europe. During a World War II air raid, a bomb pierced the dome and fell inside the church during a service which was attended by 300 locals, but the bomb failed to explode and this the locals hailed as a miracle. We visit the sacristy which displays the events and houses a replica of the bomb. Our next stop is Ta’Qali Village which was once the British RAF base and is now home to Maltas National Football Stadium and Crafts Village. We watch the local artisans making pottery, ceramics, jewellery, cane works and the glass blowers at work making the decorative glass in the traditional manner by hand and mouth. Our final stop is at Mdina, the old capital of Malta, also referred to as the Silent City since it inspires tranquillity at any time of the day or night. We experience this city on foot, exploring its quaint alleys, narrow streets, Cathedral, and ancient Baroque buildings, and embrace its magnificent far-reaching views from the high bastion walls. Time at leisure to shop and stop to purchase a light lunch or snack.
